Interactive sound sculpture
Irritated by the regulation that has haunted art “PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH” this is part of a body of work called “PLEASE DO TOUCH!”. The work focuses on the physical interaction of the viewer and the artwork, presenting a different way of “looking at” one, so, one must touch the work in order to fully experience it. Inspired by the Maker movement, new technologies, microcontrollers and sensors are embeded in the works making them interactive. Her work brings together objects and sounds that she collects and manipulates. By hacking these found objects and sculptures of her own, she creates circuits that when closed by human touch, play sounds.
